LUCIA LARSON, LCSW is an integrative psychotherapist in private practice in New York. After a fulfilling career
as a professional modern dancer and Pilates practitioner, Lucia returned school to study clinical social work, graduating
from NYU in 2018, and interning at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies. She began her career in mental
health counseling working with a diverse population in varied mental health settings, including the Jewish Board of
Children and Family Services, and New Pathways Counseling Center of Brooklyn.
As a late career changer, Lucia is uniquely sensitive to the joys and specific challenges that accompany life transitions,
identity challenges and change. Lucia has long held interests in how an individual’s life experiences, family and personal
histories intersect within someone’s awareness and through unconscious processes. She is especially interested in how
these processes impact people contextually, individually, and in relationships as they grow and navigate living.
